This remarkable tool will display snapshots of your webpage as it is viewed in many different browsers. Simply select the browsers you want to see the webpage in, including the platforms (windows, linux, mac, etc.), choose whether to allow javascript, flash and/or java, and submit your url to view browser snapshot images of your site.
The results page will return snapshots of the submitted url from the chosen browsers.
Browsershots is essential for any web developer or template designer. Instantly see how a page layout looks across browsers - well almost instantly! The retrieval of snapshots tends to take some time. Several minutes and anything up to half an hour. Possibly this tool is being used by developers and designers around the globe and that heavy use is slowing the tool to a crawl.
In any case, it is well worth waiting a few minutes to see your website displayed in multiple browsers. You may well be surprised at the outcome.
Tip: Don't try and select all the platforms and browsers. There is a half hour limit for retrieval and if you select all items available you'll never see all the browser images before the time limit expires. About ten to 20 different browsers seems to be efficient use of the time available.
If you cannot install all the versions of multiple browsers on your system then this is a great alternative for checking cross-browser compatability of your webpages.
