Amazon Changes Rules on Paid Search Bidding

Amazon Associates have updated their policy regarding affiliates and paid keyword bidding. If you've enjoyed good returns by sending traffic to amazon.com from paid bidding on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines, then that is about to change. In a nutshell, associates will not be paid referal fees for paid search traffic.

The changes will take effect from May 1, 2009. More on paid search policies and how it affects affiliate marketers can be found at amazon associates.
